- On-Site Production of Methyl Mercaptan: Previously, some methionine production facilities required external procurement of methyl mercaptan. With this integration, in-house production of methyl mercaptan has been established at each site: Antwerp (Belgium) in Europe, Singapore in Asia, and Mobile (Alabama, USA) in the Americas. This reduces reliance on external suppliers and minimizes the risk of supply chain disruptions.
- Improved Production Efficiency: Establishing an integrated production system from raw materials to final products enables reduced logistics costs, optimized production processes, and more efficient energy consumption. This leads to overall production cost reductions and enhanced competitiveness.
