COMPANY PROFILE / DRONES AND ROBOTICS
AgiBot
A private Shanghai company, founded in 2023, that moved from humanoids to quadruped and cleaning robots in a few years
AgiBot (AgiBot Innovation, known in Chinese as Zhiyuan Robotics; Shanghai) is a privately held company founded in February 2023. Its official website lists, with specifications, the humanoid “Expedition” (A series), the small humanoid “Lingxi” (X series), the wheeled “Genie” (G series), the quadruped D1 and the commercial cleaning robot Juechen C5. The company says its cumulative production (units that left the production line) reached 20,000 in September 2026 (a company claim). However, revenue, profit, funding and headcount appear in neither its official materials nor any exchange document, so this profile writes “not disclosed”. One more caution: a holding vehicle backed by people linked to AgiBot took control in 2025 of Swancor, a materials company listed on the Shanghai STAR Market. Swancor is a separate company and its finances are not AgiBot’s. This profile stays within the official website and exchange documents, and treats “number one in shipments” as a company claim. Checked 25 October 2026.

1. AgiBot in 30 seconds, and where it stands in drones and robotics
Industrial & specialist robots (secondary)Humanoid and wheeled robots are the core. Quadruped, cleaning and the industrial Genie G2 are the secondary type. The classification is ours
Small humanoid: X2
Wheeled: G1, G2
Quadruped: D1 Cleaning: C5For research, exhibition, business, industry and cleaning. Specifications are on the official site (company stated)
In about three and a half years since its founding AgiBot has widened its range to humanoid, wheeled, quadruped and cleaning robots, AI models, a developer platform and data collection. The official site gives a specification table for each product and announces cumulative production at milestones Sourced. But revenue, profit and funding are not disclosed, and statements such as “number one in humanoid shipments in 2025” are company claims with no source shown. Note also an easy mix-up: the holding vehicle of people linked to AgiBot took control of Swancor in 2025, but Swancor is a materials company (for example for wind-turbine blades) and not a subsidiary of AgiBot Sourced. Swancor is also developing its own consumer robots (Qiyuan), which had no revenue as of June 2026. This profile reads the two companies separately.
2. The logo and how the name is written

A note on names: the registered name is AgiBot Innovation (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. (Zhiyuan Chuangxin in pinyin, our romanization), also called Zhiyuan Robotics, and the brand is written AGIBOT (from AGI, artificial general intelligence, and BOT, robot). The series names Expedition (A series, Yuanzheng in Chinese), Lingxi (X series), Genie (G series), D1 and Juechen (C series) are not company names. Swancor (SWANCOR, STAR Market 688585) is a different listed company, controlled by the holding vehicle Zhiyuan Hengyue.
Official site: https://www.zhiyuan-robot.com/ (the logo is the official header image; it is white, so it is shown on a dark background, and the image itself contains the company’s Chinese name)3. Where the company sits in the drones and robotics field
See also our explainers on humanoid robots, robot foundation models and VLA, and robot vision and recognition. AgiBot’s products fall into humanoids (the A2 and A3 for exhibition, business and research, and the small X2), wheeled work robots (Genie G1 and G2), quadrupeds (D1), commercial cleaning (Juechen C5), and hands, data collection and an AI development platform. The groupings are ours, not the company’s own Our calculation.
4. Scale (including items not disclosed)
AgiBot is private, has no disclosure obligation, and its official site shows no revenue or profit. The one scale figure we could confirm is the cumulative production count in the official milestones Sourced.
| Date | Cumulative production (company claim) | Company wording |
|---|---|---|
| January 2025 | Passed 1,000 | General-purpose robots off the line passed 1,000 |
| March 2026 | 10,000 | General-purpose embodied robots, cumulative off the line, 10,000 |
| June 2026 | 15,000 | Same |
| September 2026 | 20,000 | Same |
“Off the line” means leaving the production line; it is not units delivered to customers or in operation. The company also says the A2 was “delivered in the thousands”, but the official materials give no breakdown by product or use. The December 2025 milestone “number one in humanoid shipments worldwide” has no source shown and is not adopted here.
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| Revenue and profit | Not disclosed (could not be confirmed) |
| Funding and valuation | Not disclosed (could not be confirmed). Press-based figures are not used |
| Headcount | Not disclosed (could not be confirmed) |
| Sites | Head-office building in Pudong, Shanghai; Beijing; Shenzhen. A data collection center in Pudong (its own 3,000 square meter collection factory, September 2024) |
| Listing | Not listed. The related company Swancor (688585) is separate |
For reference, here are first-half 2026 figures for the related listed company, Swancor. They are not AgiBot’s figures. Revenue was CNY 802.73 million (+2.42% year on year), net loss attributable to owners CNY 166.54 million and R&D CNY 180.25 million, of which CNY 163.90 million went to the consumer embodied-robot business. The company says it has already received CNY 210 million in advance payments for that business but has not yet booked revenue Sourced.
Swancor’s finances are not AgiBot’s. Swancor’s loss and R&D in the first half of 2026 belong to the Swancor group, including consumer robots (Qiyuan Q1 and T1) that it develops under its own name. Swancor itself says: “AgiBot is one of our indirect shareholders; the two run independently, and there are no other related-party transactions” Sourced. Also, “cumulative production”, “units delivered” and “revenue” are different measures. This article sets out the company’s statements as they are and does not estimate AgiBot’s scale.
5. Resources committed to robots
The table shows whether the four points (people, money, outside investments and acquisitions, and ties with universities and public bodies) could be confirmed. “Not confirmed” is also a result.
| Type of resource | Details | Class |
|---|---|---|
| People | Headcount and R&D staff could not be confirmed. The chairman and CEO is Deng Taihua (formerly a vice president of Huawei). Swancor’s announcement says co-founder Peng Zhihui is Swancor’s chairman and also holds a position at AgiBot | Sourced (headcount not confirmed) |
| Money: R&D and capital spending | Amounts could not be confirmed. The official milestones list a smart-manufacturing base in Shanghai (January 2024) and its own 3,000 square meter data collection factory (September 2024) | Sourced (amounts not confirmed) |
| Money: financing | AgiBot’s own funding could not be confirmed. What exchange documents show is a loan AgiBot guarantees: for the Swancor tender offer, Zhiyuan Hengyue signed a syndicated loan of up to CNY 1.39 billion with Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and China Merchants Bank (120 months), jointly guaranteed by AgiBot Innovation | Sourced (funding not confirmed) |
| Outside investments and acquisitions | Under agreements of 8 July 2025, Zhiyuan Hengyue took 24.99% of Swancor by negotiated transfer and its concert party, Zhiyuan Xinchuang Partnership, took 5.00% in all. A partial tender offer (29 September to 28 October 2025, up to 37.00%) drew 135,663,336 shares (33.6332%), and the acquirer and concert party together held 63.6232%. The maximum funds needed for the offer were CNY 1.161 billion. The acquirer is a holding vehicle co-invested by AgiBot Innovation, core executives and industry investors | Sourced |
| Universities, research bodies and public bodies | The official site has an “academic research” section and open-source releases such as AGIBOT World. A specific joint-research agreement with a university or public body could not be confirmed | Sourced (agreements not confirmed) |
The main products are summarized below from the official product pages (checked 25 October 2026). Figures are company stated values and vary with model and conditions.

“Industry first”, “world first” and “Guinness World Record” are the company’s own wording. The A2 page says a 106.286 km walk earned a Guinness World Record, but this article has not checked the record body’s document, and independent verification could not be confirmed. The statement that the A2 holds certifications in China, the U.S. and Europe (CR, CE-MD, CE-RED, FCC) is also a company claim; the scope (models and conditions) could not be checked in detail on the official pages.
Claims about deployment and demonstrations are set out too. The A2 page lists use as a guide in exhibition halls, appearances at broadcaster and film-festival events, and a gold award for a group dance at the World Humanoid Robot Games. The July 2025 milestone says “the world’s first routine industrial work by humanoid robots”, and February 2026 says “real-robot reinforcement learning put into an industrial line”. For none of these can we confirm whether the work was autonomous or remotely operated, the number of units, the hours, or independent verification. Please read them as company claims Sourced.
6. What it has done so far
| When | What happened (official milestones and exchange documents) | Meaning |

7. What comes next
AgiBot’s own numerical plans (annual units, revenue, any listing) could not be confirmed in official materials or exchange documents. Without relying on press reports, we write “not confirmed” for any listing plan Not yet confirmed.
None of the following could be confirmed on the official site or in exchange documents Not yet confirmed: AgiBot’s revenue, profit, funding and valuation; headcount; units delivered (versus cumulative production) and customer names; what tasks humanoids actually performed in factories, with unit counts, hours and whether autonomous or remote; the scope of each certification; any listing plan for AgiBot itself; its response to the new FCC measure (28 July 2026). “Number one” and “world first” are company claims that this article has not verified.
8. What the company is aiming for in drones and robotics
This part includes things the company has not said directly. It is inference within what the primary sources show, written with its grounds.
| What can be read | Primary-source grounds | Class |
|---|---|---|
| It is aiming to be a full-line maker (bodies, AI, data and a developer platform) | The official site lists humanoid, wheeled, quadruped and cleaning products, the GO-1 foundation model, a robot OS, a million-record dataset, a data collection factory and developer platforms | Inference |
| It stresses showing scale through milestone announcements | Cumulative production announced as 1,000 (January 2025), 10,000 (March 2026), 15,000 (June 2026) and 20,000 (September 2026) | Inference |
| Consumer robots sit in a separate company (Swancor’s Qiyuan), with AgiBot itself serving industry, business and research | Swancor’s notice says the applications differ from those of its related party and that there is no substantial competition | Sourced (company statement) |
| It is using a related listed company to gain access to the A-share market | The stated purpose of the offer cites the A-share market’s service to technology industries; the acquirer is a holding vehicle of AgiBot, executives and industry investors | Inference |
| It treats safety and certification as a selling point | The A2 page lists certifications in China, the U.S. and Europe, and the July 2026 milestone claims safety certification of all core products | Inference |
AgiBot announces cumulative production as “1,000 (January 2025), 10,000 (March 2026), 20,000 (September 2026)”, and its A2 page says units were “delivered in the thousands” Sourced. At the same time it does not give revenue, units delivered or customer names. From this, this article reads the company as “showing scale through production counts and range of products, in place of financial figures”. But production counts are not the same as deliveries or sales, so the real state of the business cannot be confirmed Not yet confirmed.
9. Map of partnerships in drones and robotics
10. Technology, products and services
| Layer | Main products | What the official sources say |
|---|---|---|
| Bodies | Humanoids: Expedition A2, A3 and Lingxi X1, X2. Wheeled: Genie G1, G1 Max, G2. Quadruped: D1. Cleaning: Juechen C4, C5 | For exhibition, business, research, industry and cleaning. Software can be updated over the air every few months, the company says |
| AI models and OS | Foundation model GO-1, a world model, the robot OS “Link-U OS”, middleware AimRT | The milestones say GO-1 appeared in March 2025, the OS in July and the world model in August. Published on GitHub |
| Data | The AGIBOT World dataset, a data collection factory, data services | A dataset of a million real-robot records published in December 2024; its own 3,000 square meter data collection factory |
| Development platforms | Genie Studio, the no-code creation platform, the persona platform | A platform to create motions without code, and one to set a robot’s personality |
| Hands and parts | OmniHand, OmniPicker (AGILINK brand) | Hands and grippers for humanoid and wheeled robots. Specification details were not checked here |
Magnesium alloy for lightness: the company says the A3 uses magnesium alloy for 90% of its structural parts, with titanium alloy and TPU (a soft thermoplastic polyurethane) covering, to hold weight to 55 kg Sourced. Magnesium is lighter than aluminum but burns and corrodes more easily, so it needs surface treatment (see our explainer on structural materials for robots and drones).
Heat and battery: the company says improved cooling halved the number of fans on the A3 and lets it run above 45 degrees C. The battery uses tabless cells (more electrode tabs to lower internal resistance), 1,152 Wh in two packs, about 10 hours of operation and a 10-second swap Sourced. See our explainer on power sources for robots and drones.
Quadruped and parts materials: the D1 uses aluminum alloy and high-strength engineering plastic and weighs 15.5 kg. The G2 is said to use automotive-grade parts throughout, with IP42 protection Sourced.
A related materials company: Swancor says in its interim report that it applied its high-performance composite technology to robot shoes and structural parts, delivered samples and is testing them. That is Swancor’s business, and adoption in AgiBot’s products could not be confirmed Not yet confirmed.
11. The risks this company carries
| Risk | Details | Class |
|---|---|---|
| Finances not visible | Revenue, profit, funding and headcount are not disclosed, so durability and price competitiveness cannot be checked from published material | Sourced (within disclosures) |
| Limited unit measures | The published count is cumulative production; units delivered, units in operation and the customer breakdown could not be confirmed. “Number one in shipments” is a company claim with no source shown | Sourced |
| Verification of demonstrations | For “routine industrial work” and similar claims, autonomy versus teleoperation, unit counts, hours and independent verification could not be confirmed | Sourced |
| U.S. regulation | On 28 July 2026 the FCC added foreign-produced advanced robotic devices to the Covered List (official document). The company says the A2 holds FCC authorization. The effect on new models and the company’s response could not be confirmed | Sourced (response not confirmed) |
| A guaranteed acquisition loan | AgiBot Innovation is joint guarantor of Zhiyuan Hengyue’s syndicated loan of up to CNY 1.39 billion (120 months); the loan can cover up to 71.44% of the acquisition consideration | Sourced |
| Confusion with the related company | Swancor’s finances (net loss of CNY 166.54 million in the first half of 2026) are not AgiBot’s, and its consumer robots had no revenue. Swancor itself notes that only about 16% of its A-shares are held outside the controlling group | Sourced |
| Household safety and data | Swancor’s notice lists collision safety and the storage and permissions of home audio and video data as issues for household robots. A similar statement about AgiBot itself could not be confirmed | Sourced (Swancor’s statement) |
