Exotrail SA will provide essential space propulsion systems and mobility technologies required for satellite orbit changes and debris removal. Specifically, the ASFR-developed debris removal satellite will feature advanced sensors, navigation systems, and robotic arms to precisely determine the target OneWeb satellite’s position and attitude, conduct non-contact inspection, and then safely maneuver it out of orbit. Slated for execution between 2029 and 2030, this mission will be a high-stakes technological demonstration requiring complex orbital mechanics and real-time control.
